Fees

Fees are $229 per 50 minute session. With a mental health care plan you can claim up to Medicare rebates per year. This figure is currently set at $141.85. This leaves you with an out of pocket expense of $87.15 per session.

Medicare Rebates

Medicare offers rebates for Australian citizens who visit their Psychologist. You do need to first visit your General Practitioner (GP) and explain your mental health concerns and obtain a referral and mental health care plan. It is generally necessary to book a longer consultation with your GP so that they have adequate time to develop a care plan with you. Call our office and our friendly admin staff will explain how best to provide the referral and mental health care plan to us.

You are entitled up to 10 Medicate rebated sessions in a calendar year (January to December) with a mental health care plan.

Private Health Rebates

A substantial proportion of your consultation fee may be reclaimed through private health funds. Just let our admin team know about this. They will take full payment for the session and send you an invoice that you can use to claim against your health fund.
